What happens to your writing

No. Your drafts, your notebook and your coaching conversations are never used to train any model — not by us, and not by the AI provider we send text to (its API does not train on this data). Your story is not training data.

Your writing is private to your account. The database isolates every user’s rows (row-level security), so other users can’t see yours. It’s stored on EU servers and encrypted in transit and at rest.

Honest caveat: this is not end-to-end / “zero-knowledge” encryption — to run the coach we have to be able to process your text, so in principle our systems and our EU database provider can access it. We don’t read it except to run and support the service, and we never sell it.

To give feedback, the passage you’re working on is sent to an AI model (through a gateway; currently Google’s Gemini) to generate the coach’s response — and only for that. It’s used to answer you, not to train the model. The coach teaches the craft; it doesn’t keep or reuse your story.

Completely. You keep every right to everything you write — we claim no ownership. And because the coach never writes your story (it teaches you to), authorship is unambiguously yours.

Yes. You can export your notebook and drafts at any time, and delete your account whenever you want — your data is then removed, except records we’re legally required to keep (e.g. payment records held by our payment provider).

Payments run through Stripe as merchant of record. We never see or store your card number.
